Food and service was excellent. There was a little bit of confusion because we had a large party but staff was great at working with us to get us seated in a timely manner. I had the crab cake pasta and my husband had the blackened red fish. Both were very good.

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience with the staff as well as our meal. Food was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable regarding food choices and portions sizes. We recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to stop in for a great meal and atmosphere.

I have been visiting Oceana since I was a Kid traveling with my family. But the few times we've been more recently have been really Meeehhh. I do not think we will be back But I have so e great memories of this place throughout my life.

Amazing food and such southern hospitality by one of the best waitresses we've ever had Nicole! With all the other options to eat, we came back here 2x to eat because food and service was amazing. We didnt come with our children but they are definitely family friendly as well. Strawberry Basil Margarita is a must!

Just got into town. The Limo driver told us about this place.👌 The line was outside about a Half an hour. A table for 6, gratuities already included on the bill split 3 ways, no problems. The Service was 1st rate, the Food was Top Shelf . Our group doesn't mind sharing. Crab cakes & Oysters for appetizers YUMMY. ALL The Food was Excellent 👍👍. This place is not elegant or Pretty but it's Clean.

The food was very good. Our server, Dominique, was very friendly and nice. We ordered for appetizer the alligator bites, which was pretty good. The Cajun pasta was fantastic. The jambalaya was a little spicy, but it is expected since you are in NOLA. It is a very good place overall. The margarita was good too!

We had a reservation for 21 people and was running a few minutes late. Tried repeatedly calling but there was never an answer. Finally spoke to someone and they said no problem there was a 15 min grace period. We showed up within that 15 minute window and our table was already gone. They did get us in at separate tables after about a 30 min wait. It took forever to get service. Every time we needed something we had to wave our waitress down. She never came back to our table after delivering our food. The food was really good but not consistent. 4 of us all ordered the Shrimp pasta. 1 was very spicy, 2 of them were just a little spice and 1 tasted no spice at all. Will not be returning here.

Went there around 8pm expect a waiting line. It moves fast and the staff does it's best for you to get the best experience. The menu has it for every tastes and the food is pretty good.

Service was over the top awesome. Every staff member we crossed thanked us for coming in. Our server was on point all night. Food was great!! Blackened duck was perfect!

Let me say that our waitress Lavern deserves 5 stars but the restaurant brings her down. She was fantastic. The food was good, but uninspired. The mimosas were terribly expensive for their size. The biscuits were wildly mediocre. All together, there was nothing wrong with the place, but I won't be back.

I was definitely impressed with the service, how large the restaurant actually is inside and the food was great! Everything was cooked to perfection. Had the taste of new Orleans with blackened crawfish. Will definitely be back!1 Star- Total failure of an experience based on this experience would not return. Would not recommend.2 Star- Below average on several levels, not a total failure. Wouldn't seek out to return or recommend.3 Star- Average experience, minimum expectations met. Nothing that says wow or that stands out. Would return if someone else wanted to come, not a regular go to.4 Star- Above average experience, will come here again and recommend to friends and family.5 Star- This will be a regular go to and will be highly recommended to people I know. Exceeds expectations on a consistent basis.

This place was simply awesome our waitress Santeria probably not spell correctly she a cute girl with braces. She was the best. Try it highly recommended also try the brownie

This place is so much bigger on the inside than it looks. We sat upstairs in one of the rooms and had an amazing meal. The jambalaya pasta with alligator sausage and shrimp was easily my favorite meal of the entire trip. Oysters were great, covered in a garlic sauce that was delicious. Worth the stop and worth the wait if there is one. You won't regret it.

We got the shrimp platter, the seafood platter, the gator bites, and the gumbo... nothing tasted bad. Legit all of the food was so good so you cannot go wrong. I can't wait to come back and visit again. My entire family enjoyed it. I really can't say enough about our waitress. Her customer service was on point! The food came so fast, everything was perfect.

The food was good. I had the taste of New Orleans, that provides several traditional entrees. Service was good when she got to us. The host seated four tables in her section within a couple of minutes, and we were the fourth...long wait. 😞

Our waitress Mary was amazing. She made us laugh, and she got funnier as the night went on. We had a great time and the food was fantastic. Thank you Mary. You will not be disappointed eating at this restaurant. We had a party of 17 and our food order came out promptly and correctly.

This place has some of the most friendly service I have ever received. Everyone welcomes you and the staff makes great recommendations. It is in the heart of Bourbon Street and the food is very good. It is not overpriced and the portions are appropriate. Inside is just like any other French Quarter establishment, dimly lit televisions for sports, and 1800's French inspiration.

My partner and I came here for our first night in NOLA and I think it’s the fastest we’ve ever eaten a meal- it’s like there was no time to come up for air because the food was that good! Our waiter was super friendly and the food came out within minutes of our order. We got a shrimp po boy and the vegetarian Cajun stew, with the unreal bread pudding at the end. And we put the house Cajun salt on everything. We wish we could’ve eaten there every night of our trip! Definitely make a reservation because everyone will want to be there to taste the delicious food!

We had a party of nine during a busy time. They were able to quickly accommodate us. The waitress was very nice and was able to handle the larger party with separate checks easily. We had fried shrimp, fried catfish, and their sampler of New Orleans specialties. All the food was tasty and delivered within a timely manner. We enjoyed our experience here.

Had a fried seafood platter that was great. All the other food looked great too. It's located in the French Quarter.

LOVE this place! Always a must when in New Orleans! Even though they were busy, we didn't have to wait more than 10-15 minutes to get in and seated. The staff were very kind and the shrimp and grits with mushrooms are literally always the highlight of my trip to this city (and I mean that as a major compliment to this dish, not at all a slight at the city which has offered me so many great memories). Sometimes the shrimp and grits aren't on the menu, but if you ask nicely they can still make that magic happen for you! ✨🍤✨😋😍

A key stop anytime you're in the quarter. The greens, oysters, swamp duck are first class. Lively spot w lots of atmosphere. The food is without a doubt very very good!

Nice margarita collection..loved the frozen ones. Crab cakes were yummy n the Oyster platter was buttery. For my vegitarian friends, the eggplant fries were surprisingly tasty but the pasta was too cheesy.

I took my wife out for dinner as this is her first visit to New Orleans. This location didn't disappoint. Ashleigh was our server and was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and I'll gladly recommend this place to anyone who is discussing coming down here.

I love the food here. Everything just tastes fresh and made to order. definitely very few things reheated. Got a seafood platter and I was stuffed afterward. There are a bunch of smaller rooms where you can sit here with their own atmosphere and vibe. The service is quick and food comes out quick. The only problem is this is located in a touristy place with prices that are slightly higher than the quality of food.

The food was prepared quickly. I had the seafood platter and I tried to finish it all by myself. Not a great idea! The portion is wayyy to big. I took the rest of the meal home, but it wasn't as good as freshly prepared, of course. I'd suggest making the portion smaller... It's a shame to toss all the food.It was delicious though. Also, they make the best hurricanes in the city!

The menu is a bit pricey but the atmosphere is nice. Cute decor on the inside. Trust me when I say, order the Cajun Fries Appetizer and add the boiled Alligator! It’s worth the money and definitely more than an appetizer portion. The pasta on the other hand is lack in portion and OVER compensating in price.

Now, let's start by acknowledging that there are 100’s of great restaurants in New Orleans.... But... We had the best experience of our trip right here in the French Quarter, at Oceana Grill. Cold beer, hot food... What more needs saying? Atmosphere was hopping, waitress was on her A game, (what a flirt!) Well worth the 25 minute wait to be seated!

I had a really nice lunch here. The service was quick and pleasant, and after having the seafood platter I couldnt eat again for the rest of the day. The portion was huge. I really enjoyed the fried oysters. They were so fresh

The BEST flame grilled oysters on either side of the Mississippi. My go to anytime I'm in NOLA. On top of the food, the staff is magnificent. My guy Josh just recently took care of us in Christmas day - excellent service.

The gator is good. The oyster grill is salty. What is strange is that they charge 18% tip automatically. It is the first time for me in the US. I don't know it's for tourists or everyone! But they forget to refill water for us, so it is not worth it .

Amazing food! Alligator bits are the best i have ever had! My fiance got the blackened catfish which she loved. I had the barbecued shrimp that was mouth watering. Our waiter David was very nice and well informed with a great knowledge of the food.

I come here every time I'm in town. Love the alligator! All the foods really good. Prices on the high end but worth it.

Always amazing, quality seafood. Went for breakfast this time, and it was better than we even knew it would be. Our server Jamal was fantastic--super attentive. I like to try new places, but I keep going back to Oceana because it's so good!

Our Lyft driver recommended this wonderful restaurant and we couldn't have been happier. Food and drinks were amazing. We sampled a little bit of everything. The house famous oysters were my favorite. Fried shrimp, fried oysters and gumbo hit the spot. Ever employee we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. I was very surprised how quickly all our food and drinks were delivered. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went this past friday night about 8pm and wait was about 15 min which was great. Service was excellent but then the best part started. Food was outstanding, not one person in our group of 6 had anything negative to say. Bread pudding was to die for. A must spot to eat if you are visiting the area.

Well I ordered the Seafood platter..take outThe wait was reasonable . however I wasn't impressed with it..shrimp where big. Batter was thickDidnt taste fresh. Hush puppies were terrible like it was cooked the day before. Didn't care for tarter sauce. Or coleslaw. Fries were the best .

From the drinks to dessert we had an extremely enjoyable dining experience. There was a slight wait, but we ate at the bar. The bartender was our waiter; he did an EXCELLENT although he did forget to input my wife’s entree😄 My wife ordered sweet tea which she said was wonderfully delicious. The appetizer LA Crab Meat cakes was superb; it was really enough for one person’s entree. However, I shared it with my wife. For my entree Redfish Tchoupitoulas was very plentiful...a generous portion and magnificently tasteful. Very representative of what you’d anticipate to enjoy on a NOLA visit. My wife ordered the Taste of New Orleans which she didn’t enjoy as well. However, the dessert made up for it. We ordered the Oceana Praline Brownie and Bananas Foster Ice Cream cake. Both were delicious; the ice cream cake was super-sized. Overall, our dining experiences was fun and fulfilling. Definitely worthy of a visit.

Our server Derrick was probably one of the best servers I have ever had and I mean it. He knew literally every liquor, every recipe in every dish on the menu. Even recommended places to see while we were in New Orleans. I highly recommend this place as the food is top notch. Will be back.

Nice seafood restaurant right of the famous bourbon party street in French quarters new Orleans. The food was great with plenty of new Orleans cayjun flavor. .the blacken fish was great .The serving was a good size, enough to fill your appetite.

I got the Cauliflower Gratin with like an almond pate. The cauliflower grain was delicious. The atmosphere was great. I loved the decor with the vintage alcohol ads from the early 1900s. My husband and I were here with a large party of 10, they were able to seat is quickly upstairs with no reservation. The food came out quickly. The restroom was clean. Seating was comfortable, staff was friendly.

One of our favorite French Quarter restaurants. There is a reason there is always a line at the door. Worth the wait.

I was test tasting a number of restaurants in the area for their gumbo quality the gumbo here was very good The Rue seem to have developed the complexities of flavor that most gumbo should have and the flavor lingered in your mouth however it was a little bit thick and not enough elements in a gumbo. I give the gumbo 3 and a half stars HOWEVER!!! I did eat their bread pudding and it was phenomenally delicious I mean absolutely over the top five stars for that

Exceptional food and stellar service. Great food selection. Best red beans and rice anywhere (expect possibly your mama's house lol) There could be a line outside waiting to get in, but it goes pretty quickly. We only had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated.

We had a table by an open door on a beautiful morning. Great choices on their menu. Angel was our server. She was attentive and made good suggestions. We had a St. James crepe and a Royale Omelette, both delicious.Their courtyard was large, pretty with umbrellas and heaters. Try their Ultimate Bloody Mary.

Hands down, best oysters ever , Authentic Cajun and Creole Luisiana Cuisine. I recommend the Jambalaya and the oysters of course . And if you want to go outside of your comfort zone, ask for the alligator. Hope you enjoy it as I did .

Worse service ever! I ordered “gator bites” and “The taste of New Orleans” for takeout. The server said it would take 25 mins. I purposely waited 25 mins in the car, then in their crowded lobby for an additional 45mins, with no social distancing enforced. Others say they were waiting for over an hour and a half. The food is ok. I had to lecture the bartender about providing better customer service. During my wait I stopped him and asked if he can check on my order. He took my inquiry with great concern, left then roamed all around me without saying a single word. I understand they are working at a 25% capacity, but don’t lie and tell people it will take 25 mins when it’s really over an hour... The service was just below par, I will not return.

Visited both in french quarter. One for breakfast and one for supper. Both had great food and average prices. But even more notable was the service. Best we experienced in 4 days and nights of eating out in french quarter.

Loved it!! Service was excellent, good was delicious! Great vibe and 2nd floor was quiet enough to talk despite a packed house. Get there early...we arrived at 5 p.m. on a Sunday with a party of 11 and they put a table together immediately. While we were waiting, a line formed down the sidewalk. Restaurant is huge, so wait isn't long, and service and food made any wait worth it.
